we got home from greece a few weeks ago. i’ve been trying to recreate the yogurt bowls i kept eating while we were there. the granola turned out great, and we brought some greek flower honey home with us. the first yogurt i bought here tasted like sour cream and had completely the wrong texture. apparently finding the right yogurt is going to be more work than i expected.

i’ve also been spending a lot of time thinking about music. i’m working toward two records: one that’s a collection of songs by other people that i’m interpreting, and another album of my own songs. lately i’ve been playing around with twain’s love, go lightly. i can hear parts of how i want my version to sound, so the next thing is getting some of that into an actual recording.

i’m doing some work on tot.garden, too. there’s a lot of writing, music, and other stuff here that i really like, but the website itself isn’t doing a very good job of showing any of it. i wanna figure out how to make the actual things more visible.

we’ve already picked out our christmas tree for this year. it’s tagged and still standing at the farm until we go get it in november. i’m also trying to put together a drive to see some really good halloween decorations. we did this last year and learned that a long drive doesn’t necessarily produce many houses worth looking at.
